Brothers Bas and Evert and their sister Barbara Kok come from a warm and creative family and grew up with a strong appreciation for art, culture and interior design.

Their parents preferred saving up for one beautiful design classic rather than spending money on cheap, disposable items. This is how they developed a keen eye for detail, design and quality. It came as no surprise that they would later start a creative company together.

The foundation of KEK Amsterdam was laid by Evert: his unique ideas and designs for wall decoration immediately captured the imagination. A few months later, KEK Amsterdam was born and grew into an international family business known for its original wallpaper designs.

Since then, the wallpaper collection has expanded considerably, partly thanks to inspiring collaborations with other graphic designers and illustrators. KEK Amsterdam wallpaper is available at more than 1,200 retail outlets in the Netherlands and abroad.
